WHAT IS A SUCCESS STORY IN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT?

A Success Story in Supply Chain Management is a sharing of good practices recognized throughout the company, which increases market share, improves profitability and develops the know-how of employees. The focus is on alignment between strategy, tactics and operations, return on investment, lessons learned, job creations and societal involvement.

WHO IS CONCERNED?

ISCEA invites companies to come share the success of its company thanks to the performance of the management of its supply chains and register now to tell and promote its success stories.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

WHAT INFORMATION TO PROVIDE TO THE FILE?

Each participant will have to fill in a file not exceeding 40 pages, which must include:

 1 

A PRESENTATION OF THE ACTIVITY OF THE  COMPANY AND MORE SPECIFICALLY OF THE  SUPPLY CHAIN DEPARTMENT 

And its links with the other functions of the company (marketing services, sales, finance, accounting, production, operations management, R & D, etc.) . The supply chain management process of the company: forecasts, planning operations etc. will also have to be described.

TWO GRAPHICS

​​A first giving a point of situation before the implementation of the supply chain improvement project and a second graph describing the current situation. Each will have to integrate key elements on:

​

  • Production and inventory levels, inventory turnover, inventory and supply investments 

  • The different flows defining the supply chains

  • Inventory management units

  • The rate of service

  • The inventory and supply management policy

A CALENDAR

​Valuing the performance and the operational and financial profitability of the company as well as its results throughout the supply chain, as well as a description of the improvement sequences related to the technologies used, the strategy put in place and the procedures.

OTHER QUALITATIVE CRITERIA WILL

BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT

A. The vision of the company and the missions of its Supply Chain function: what is the customer problem that the supply chain managers had to solve?


B. Implementation of Supply Chain Management within the company: how did the processes put in place align operations with the company's strategy?


C. Technology: What technologies have been applied to adapt to the needs of the supply chain?

HOW IS THE COMPETITION AND THE AUDITION GOING?

Two high-level managers are required to sign the ethics charter justifying the application and the filing of the file. The jury of the PTAK Prize may possibly request a visit within the company to judge on-site results and processes put in place.

 

The award is presented to managers who have demonstrated individually during a year the excellence of their operations in Supply Chain Management and have significantly improved the vision, the processes of the company and its technologies.

 

Participants must highlight the quality of leadership, innovation and creativity needed to implement their program as a real challenge. Special consideration will be given to all those who invest in mentoring and who are involved in the emergence and construction of a new generation of Supply Chain Managers.
